To install Code Extinguisher, simply unzip the contents of the Codex.zip alongside your codeigniter directory. After you are done, your directory should look a little like this:
codex (the codex files)
system (the CI files)
backend.php (the codex redirector)
index.php (the CI redirector)
installer.php (the codex installer)
Run installer.php from your browser and you should be set. Note that if you are on a windows system, then you may need to give IIS additional permissions to modify the database.php file in codex/application/config/database.php.
If you are having problems accessing the Codex backend after logging in, try visiting http://yoururl/backend.php/userregistration/ where yoururl is replaced with your install path.
