YAML definition files provide a means to configure actions through a human-readable file. These files are stored in codex/application/definitions and have a .yml extension. When creating these files, be sure to use spaces to indent the lines as tabs will cause problems.

Anywhere you use a YAML file, you can opt to write your own php arrays. The structure of the php array would be identical to that of the YAML file. If you would like to see the array that the spyc library parses, then you can simply print_r() the result of the YAMLLLOAD function.
